Countdown to Avalon – 13 Days to Go.

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be showing you a few of my favourite photographs from the Australian International Airshows of the past.

Another Temora Aviation Museum aircraft is this Meteor F.8. A Meteor F.3 was taken on charge by the RAAF in 1946 becoming Australia’s first jet fighter, however it was the F.8 which was the first to see combat in the skies over Korea. This Meteor is the only F.8 flying in the world. It was originally a Royal Air Force aircraft and has been flying in Australia since 2001. It’s seen here landing after its display in 2011.
